Just darling cakes...

I love cake..it probably doesn't love me.....
and when it comes as beautifully presented as this and tastes even better, who could resist?

The weekend before Valentine's I did the makeup for my friend Claire of

for a promotional photo shoot she had that morning and as I mentioned in a previous post, Claire had made me some gorgeous valentines gifts for my family.

Here are some pics below of her amazing work...I chose lemon and a decadent chocolate flavour of cupcakes which were iced with beautiful baroque patterns in fuchsia and baby pink!

Here are the Lollipop biscuits for my little boys, pre- eating, may i add!
and one's for nanny and grandad!

they were so excited about them....
apparently they didn't last long at all...from the picture sent by nanny I'd say they were very much enjoyed!

If you have a special occasion coming up, or just like yummy cakes like me..

why not go and have a look at Claire's other amazing work! These are just the start of it..:)

Fun blue make-up for valentines

Me and my husband have been together 6 years in august and have had more than a few lovely valentines together..our first was a surprise and as we were newly engaged, John booked us in at a lovely hotel in the lake district, where he surprised me again with champagne and chocs! Ahh those were the days!

Since then we've had our two little boys and even though we're usually very busy with them, we do try to do something together. This year I bought some beautiful cupcakes from my lovely friend and amazing cake designer Claire of Just darling cakes, and some beautiful heart shaped biscuit lollipops for the boys with icing on saying 'love you ashton' love you logan'!

Claire's cakes are out of this world and I will blog about them in another post but in the meantime, check her amazing talents out here!

For valentines, I usually go for traditional pink/red make-up, but after a day of applying very traditional valentines makeup for clients, I thought I'd try out something different for my night out with other half!

Keeping the lid simple with MAC brulee used my beeluscious palette and the colours moody blue and washed denim to create a winger out shape. On the cheeks I used new Dior blush in strawberry sorbet!

Here's me and the man with the stuck on head! He looks very unimpressed! haha! I know it's a while since but hope you all a lovely time at valentines!
