A new you tube tutorial...

I think I might be on a roll....

Thank you soooo much to everyone for supporting and subscribing to my youtube site, it's a lot of fun creating the vids..(not sure my husband does when I'm working in my studio all evening..!)

This week I am creating a look for a catwalk show at the Corn Exchange in Leeds for an amazing designer who I have worked with a few times this year. Her clothing line is called Prodiga and beautiful!
(I'm also very excited as Olly Murrs, Shayne Ward, Ironik and Wonderland are performing straight afterwards..hope someone needs their nose powdering!! :) )

Jenny, the designer, wanted a full impact barbie look and sent me the image below for inspiration..
I actually though the white liner under the eye reminded me of a sixties look and also something which Belle Amie, the girl band on xfactor wore last week!
Here's a little look at the image I was creating for the tutorial

and here's my version..slightly more intense as it's for a catwalk show!

What's in my make-up bag??

Hi ladies!!! I really wish I could say I was a minimalistic kinda girl..but I'm really not! So here's my personal make-up bag..for now! Hope you like it....;) xx

Benefit 'gabbi' bag I believe...LOVE IT! got it for Xmas last year when I worked for benefit! It's fairly big, holds a good amount of make-up and has a section to hold brushes, mascaras/liners ect!

Just a few items in the lid I didn't get close ups of were benefit bad gal brown which is beautiful for  natural but rich coloured lashes! YSL touche eclat, YSL faux lash effect mascara (kind of dried but still like it) Benefit BAD GAL original liner and Lancome cills booster lash booster!

The palettes..have tried so many times to just stick to a few shadows but I'm a changeable kinda of lady and like to have options to match my moods! With these two I feel to have most things covered for everyday!

a few favourite blushers for different kind of looks, NARS cream blush in cactus flower, mememe..um light pink, MAC warm soul for the tanned days!

Highlighters MAC soft and gentle mineralised skin finish, MAC pearl cream colour base

Foundations and powders..Chanel pro lunmiere in 20 and 40 so i can mix to perfect shade depending on tan, Chanel bronze universeil, illamasqua translucent powder and MAC studio finish concealer in NC 20 x

Eyeliners- Bobbi brown gel liner in sepia, chocolate shimmer and clinique gel liner in black. Chanel mascara and helena rubinstein.

Lipliner  and lipstick/gloss- estee lauder crystal baby, mercier tangerine, MAC right image and mercier baby lips liner!

A few little extra's my mini UD primer potion is amazing for keeping shadow on and a mini version of NUXE body shimmering oil! It really is beautiful, non greasy and makes tanned skin look amazing!! x

Thanks for reading my blog!! If you like it please recommend to friends!!

just a quickie!!

Barry M Nail effects....saw this in my local superdrug and thought...ooooooh! I like that!!
Originally tried it over the mulberry polish in previous blog but just created kind of a textured effect as the background colour was too dark..
I also found that without a top coat this was certainly not the best for a makeup artist as every bit of makeup got stuck to the matte finish but on second attempt..

Here it is over the top of ELF smoky brown nail polish!
I LOVED IT! kind of looks a little like animal print and certainly caught peoples eye! Got loads of comments about them!

Have you tried Barry M nail effects? I've seen this used with lots of different base colours and has loads of possibilities! For around £3 in the UK..Give it a go!!

Hey there!! Here's just a quick blog about a few new lipsticks from MAC and a variety of Barbara daly nail polishes I fell for!

So to start with here's the lip stick...first to show is from the felines collection at MAC called 'cunning', I was debating whether or not to buy 'media' which is a beautiful rich dark plum/berry shade but wasn't too sure if I would want to wear it everyday as it's fairly intense..so went for this one as the colour is beautiful, however it's more of a glossy finish which I think makes it slightly easier to pull off!
What do you think?? x

Next was one I've been lusting after for a few weeks! Since going brunette I have had a thing for wearing more girly intense pink tones so thought 'impassioned' would be the best 'new me' shade! Also dabbed a little on my cheeks for a pretty flush x
They're fairly cheap and cheerful at either £3 each or two for £5 so I thought I'd try out four! Love the berry tones and with names like, mulberry, shade, tinsel and cheeky cherry..felt very autumnal xx

In the photo above I'm wearing another favourite lipstick, creme d'nude! This for me feels like the perfect nude, not something I usually got for anymore but this is a lovely sheer slightly pinky toned nude which feels so moisturising on the lips!
Hope you like the swatches! Have you tried any new lipsticks recently?
Which are your favourites? xxox
